Mission of Enrollment Services

The mission of the Office of Enrollment Services is to provide high quality services related to registration, records, and student accounts in a one-stop environment to current students, alumni, staff, faculty, and the general public. The enrollment services office strives to make these services available to students where, when and how they need them, and works closely with other CUA offices to ensure that current information is provided to students to alleviate the need to visit numerous offices to obtain that information. We are committed to providing exceptional service while exhibiting accuracy and efficiency in our work, and maintaining integrity, professionalism and respect.

BILLING

Account statements are generated on the 15th of each month (or the first business day thereafter).  Account activity occurring between statements, including payments, acceptance and disbursement of financial aid awards, and reversal of the student medical plan charge, will appear on the subsequent monthly statement.  Up to date account activity can be viewed between statements in Cardinal Station and on the Account Status page in CardinalPAY.

DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS

Students with unpaid balances from the Summer 2014 or prior terms are subject to registration and transcript holds.  Students with unpaid Fall 2014 balances will be subject to registration and transcript holds beginning on Saturday, September 6.

A 5% late fee will be assessed on all unpaid Summer term balances on Monday, August 11th.

Interest is assessed on unpaid balances on the 15th of each month (or the first business day thereafter).  The first interest assessment to include unpaid Fall semester charges will be the October 15th assessment.

STUDENT MEDICAL PLAN

All domestic students billed for 12 or more credits and all International students (regardless of the number of credits) are required to carry medical insurance. These students will automatically be enrolled in the CUA Student Medical Insurance plan unless an online waiver is submitted by the enrollment deadline. Students electing to waive coverage must complete the online waiver by the published deadline each academic year, regardless of whether the plan was waived in previous years.

If your statement includes a charge for the Student Medical Plan and you will be waiving coverage you may deduct the amount of the plan from any balance due.

STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Students and Authorized Payers are encouraged to review the university's Statement of Financial Responsibility at http://enrollmentservices.cua.edu/Student-Financial-Information/statement-of-financial-responsibility.cfm.

All students are required to accept the statement in Cardinal Station before registering for any classes and/or requesting official transcripts. To access the statement in Cardinal Station, select the hyperlink in the Finances section of the Student Center screen.
